Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:Amides shown by the formula I (X is halogen, group shown by the formula II or III, R is H, 1W10C alkyl or 5W6C cycloalkyl; R1 and R2 are H, 1W4C alkyl, aryl, etc.) and their salts.
EXAMPLE: α-Bromo-N,N-diethylpropionic acid amide.
USE: A herbicide, nonmedical germicide, and antifungal agent. Having improved controlling effects on annual and perennical weeds occuring in paddy fields, plowed fields, fruit gardens, etc. Effective against blast of rice plant, powdery mildew, rust, etc.
PROCESS: For example, a compound shown by the formula IV is reacted with a compound shown by the formula V, to give a compound shown by the formula I (X is halogen). The reaction is carried out in an inert solvent in the presence of a base. If necessary, the compound shown by the formula I is reacted with imidazole or triazole, and converted into a compound shown by the formula I (X is group shown by the formula II or formula III).
