Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the durability of the blanking tool, by employing as the tool material a rod of high speed tool steel or alloy tool steel containing ≥0.8wt% Mo and possible to give ≥20S forging ratio to the steel material to be worked.
CONSTITUTION: The high speed tool steel or the alloy tool steel is employed as the tool material, and thereby the steel material to be worked can be subjected to the cold plastic work with ≥20S forging ratio; the said tool material is prescribed to contain ≥0.8wt% Mo in order to greatly improve its wear resistance. The diameter of the rod as the tool material is prescribed to be somewhat smaller than the diameter of the studding part and larger than the diameter of the cutting edge part.
