Abstract

PURPOSE: To continuously measure a duty ratio in every cycle, sufficiently following up the input pulse signal of the rapid rotation of engine or the like, by combining a clock pulse generator, a frequency divider, four counters, etc. in a prescribed relationship to one another.
CONSTITUTION: Clock pulses CP are applied to an up-down counter CK1 and a gate circuit GC1. The clock pulses CP are sent out to a counter CK2 from the gate circuit GC1 for a cycle T1-1 corresponding to a pulse duration T1-1 within a cycle T0-1. The clock pulses CP are suppled to another counter CK3 through a frequency divider DVC which divides frequency to e.g. 1/360 corresponding to the indication of angle. A pulse P at each trailing of an input pulse IP is applied to the terminal OD of the counter CK3. Pulses from the frequency divider DVC, which are counted in each cycle T0, are preset in the counter CK2. A carry output from the counter CK2 are supplied to another counter CK4. Resetting, counting and latching are repeated by the pulse P in each period T0 to indicate the duty ratio of the input pulse IP in two cycle delay converted into the dimension of angle on a display unit DPL.
