Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a compensation for the conversion output error, by extracting the digital signal when the D/A conversion output shows the discontinuity and then adding and subtracting this digital signal to/from the analog signal. CONSTITUTION:The bit output of the digital signal output device 11 is supplied to the switching circuit 12. The circuit 12 switches selectively the reference level Vref and the earth level in correspondence to the digital input. The resistance of the ladder resistance circuit 13 is connected in correspondence to each bit output of the circuit 12, and this output is applied to the operational amplifier 14. On the other hand, the most significant bit MSB of the device 11 is applied to both ends of the variable resistance 20 via the buffer 18 and inverter 19. The DC component of the output of the resistance 20 is eliminated by the capacitor 20, and the output of the resistance 20 is applied to the minus terminal of the operational amplifier 16 to be added or subtracted to/from the output of the amplifier 14. In such way, the discontinuity can be compensated for the analog output of a D/A converter.
