PURPOSE:To reduce the magnetic leakage in a permanent magnet type synchronous motor by disposing a plurality of permanent magnets of tile shape in a cylindrical protection case and press-fitting a power transmission shaft into the inside of a permanent magnet, thereby reducing the gap between the magnet and the stator. CONSTITUTION:Permanent magnets 2 of tile shape are disposed in a cylindrical protection case 1. Then, a power transmission shaft 3 is inserted into the inner diameter R3 of the permanent magnets 2. Since there is a relationship of (the inner diameter R1 of the protection case 1)-(the outer diameter R2 of the permanent magnet 2)<(the outer diameter R4 of the power transmission shaft 3)-(the inner diameter R3 of the permanent magnet 2), the permanent magnet 2 is expanded outwardly, and the protection case 1, the permanent magnet 2 and the power transmission shaft 3 are integrally secured. Thus, the gap between the stator and the permanent magnet can be reduced, and the leakage magnetic flux can be reduced.
