Pickup arm 7 is provided with permanent magnet piece 9, and coil 6 is provided separately from and opposedly to magnet piece 9, and permanent magnet piece 9 and coil 6 are so connected that forces by which reproducing stylus 4 is pressed to and separated from disc 2 are generated in permanent magnet piece 9 when a current is flowed to coil 6.
