Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the sudden closing of an exhaust port, by a metod wherein, in a subject device for exhausting air in a pipe at a time when water flows to a newly installed line, a cylindrical valve is lifted for the first time after finishing the exhaustion of the air in the pipe by the buoyancy of intruded water irrespective of an exhausted speed.

CONSTITUTION: With air in a pipe compressed by the passage of water through a line, a check valve 19 is pressed to close a valve port 17, and air is exhausted through a flow port 13, a gap 14', a hole 16, and an intake exhaust port 29. Then, when water intrudes into a condition to permeate into a longitudinal channel 14''' and a guide cylinder through the flow paths 13, 14', and 16, and to exhaust through the intake exhaust port 29, a cylindrical valve 23 is floated by the buoyency, and a valve seat 24 closes the suction exhuast port 29. Air in the cylindrical valve 23 is then exhuauted, and a float valve 28 closes the hole 27 by the rise of the water level, meanwhile, the check valve 19 falls by its own weight. This permits the prevention of a sudden closing of the exhaust port during the passage of water through the line for the exhaustion of air.
