Abstract
PURPOSE:To narrow the effective visual angle of a focusing detecting module with a compact optical system by providing long focus optical systems or a pair of prisms and lenses having the same effect as that of a nonfocus optical attachment between said module and stationary and movable reflection bodies. CONSTITUTION:The light entering from distance measuring lighting windows 6, 6' on the outer side of the objective lenses 1, 1' of the binoculars is reflected by a stationary reflection body 7 and a movable reflection body 7' and enters a focusing detecting module element 11 by way of long-focus optical systems consisting of a pair of prisms and lenses or optical systems 13, 13' having the same effect as that of a nonfocus optical attachment. The body 7' is turned by a driving motor 9 and a driving lever 8 etc., and when the two images by the bodies 7, 7' coincide, a signal is emitted to stop the motor 9 and an eyepiece driving motor 5. Thereby, the effective visual angle of the module 11 is narrowed by the compact constitution.
