Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a homogenous composite body by adding a prescribed ratio of Ca to melt of metals of one or more kinds of Al, Mg, Sn, etc. and thickening the same by stirring then adding and dispersing ceramics thereto and homogenously mixing the molten metal and ceramics which are hard to mix intimately with each other. CONSTITUTION:After metals of one or more kinds of Al, Mg, Sn and Zn, are melted, 0.005-5wt%, more preferably 0.5-1wt% metallic Ca are added to the melt of these metals and the mixture is stirred to thicken. Thence, ceramic powder (e.g.; SHIRASU balloon) powder is added and dispersed to and in the above- described thicknened melt, whereby the intended ceramic-metal composite body is obtained.
