Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent sticking of dust, fog, etc. on the optical system of an image pickup adapter by providing an image pickup part cover provided with an opening- closing cap to the front face of the image pickup adapter of a bundled optical fiber, and provided a controller which controls the opening and closing of the opening- closing cap near the direct-vision adapter. CONSTITUTION:When the push bar 161 of the opening-closing controller provided near the direction-vision adapter of a bundled optical fiber 12 is pushed in against a spring 163, a wire 15 moves leftward. An image pickup adapter 11 is perfectly covered by an image pickup cover 111 mounted to the front face and an opening- closing cap 112. When the wire 15 moves leftward, the opening-closing levers 113 fixed to its end turn around the axes 115, and the cap 112 opens in the direction of an arrow around an axis 116. The push bar 161 is fixed by means of a set screw 165. When the set screw 165 is loosened, the push bar is restored to the home position by the spring 163. Thereby, the sticking of dust, fog, etc. on the optical system of the adapter 11 is prevented.
