Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve handleability and safety of the titled device by a method wherein a tubular body having a resisting plate coupled to a float is arranged is connected between a water supply pipe and a hot-water tank.

CONSTITUTION: On the secondary side of a valve 12 for controlling the quantity of supplied water, which is provided at the water supply pipe 1 is connected the tubular body 3 wherein the resisting plate 4 coupled to the float 6 and moved by the pressure of supplied water is arranged. An opening at the end part on the water-inlet side of the tubular body 3 is made small, while the space at the rear end part thereof is made large, and the resisting plate 4 is fitted freely in the body. The float 6, made of a hollow synthetic resin body, is made to appear above or disappear below the level of water, whereby the change in the level of water is made large. When the valve 12 is opened, the water flowing into the tubular body 3 presses the resisting plate 4 down to the rear end part, pressing down also the float 6 through an extension shaft 5 and making the same sink below the level of water. Then the level of water inside the hot-water tank 2 rises sharply and the hot water is discharged from an overflowing port 8, and when the valve 12 is closed, the pressure of the supplied water on the resisting plate 4 is removed, the float 6 comes up on the level of water with buoyancy and thereby the level of water inside the hot-water tank 2 is lowered sharply.
