Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of results by detecting the same physical volume with the help of more than 3 units of detector and calculating an average value when a deviation from an average value does not exceed a limit value or output signals from a detector number less than three, and excluding signals exceeding the limit value in cases other than the former. CONSTITUTION:In Step 1, ''N'' number of detectors and a limit value epsilon1 of deviation are provided. In Step 2, a deviation epsilon1 from an arithmetic average of an output signal X1 from each detector is sought. In Step 3, epsilon1 and epsilon0 are compared. If all epsilon1's are smaller than epsilon0's, an average value is sought in Step 9 and is output as a monitoring signal. If all epsilon1's are larger than epsilon0's, it shall be checked whether N's number less than 3 in Step 4 and if the number is less than 3, Step 9 shall be followed. If the number is more than 3, then a detector where epsilon1 is the maximum shall be extracted in Step 5, and its signal be excluded.
