Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure accurately the main radiation axis of the antenna to be measured and the antenna pattern, by taking out only direct reflection pulses out of reflection pulses of the collimation antenna and by measuring them. CONSTITUTION:Movable gate circuit 12 receives the signal of the transmission timing of modulation pulses S0 from pulse generator 4 and generates pulse width variable distance gate (g). This gate (g) makes switch circuits 9-11 conductive only during the output of gate pulses. Therefore, only the signal corresponding to direct reflection pulses S1 out of the receiving signal of eact channel is input to receiver 14. Consequently, gate (g) is set in an estimated position while watching the screen of video display equipment 15, and then, it is confirmed that multiple reflection waves and undesired radio waves are eliminated on the screen while changeing the width of gate (g), and the antenna position where the receiving signals of channels 6 and 7 becomes 0 is obtained, and thus, the direction of antenna 1 to be measured at this time is the main radiation axis.
