Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the number of parts, lighten weight and improve thermal conduction to fins by projecting the pin-shaped fins into a passage in a heat transfer pipe in shapes that penetrate to the heat transfer pipe body when mounting the fins onto an outer circumference of the heat transfer pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A large number of pin-shaped fins 4 are penetrated to a wall of a heat transfer pipe body 1, and projected into a passage 3 in the pipe and the fins 4 and the pipe body are welded and fixed. Thus, since a flow of a fluid in the pipe 3 is disturbed by the fins 4 and the fluid contacts with the projecting sections of the fins 4 directly, the rate of heat exchange and thermal conduction are improved while inner fins as seen in conventional devices are not required, and weight can be decreased.
