Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent water from invading and the heat of the body of a wearing person from going out, by bonding a polyurethane film with an elastomer adhesive of a low-boiling-point solvent on the surface of a foamed rubber sheet to manufacture wetsuit material.
CONSTITUTION: A knit material 2b for improving skin feeling is bonded with an elastomer adhesive layer 3b on the reverse side of a high-elasticity foamed rubber sheet 1 which has innumerable closed cells. A high-elasticity polyurethane film 4 is bonded with a low-boiling-point solvent elastomer adhesive layer 5 on the obverse side of the foamed rubber sheet 1. At that time, the solvent remaining on the coated sides is completely scattered away so that no cells are produced on the bonded boundary surfaces. This results in preventing the heat of the body of a wearing person from going out due to water evaporation and in improving the appearance of a wetsuit.
