Abstract
PURPOSE:To diagnose the degree of deterioration of the insulation more accurately by transmitting an X-ray through the insulating organization of the windings of the electric machine, photographing the inside thereof, and judging the degree of the insulation deterioration by the transmissive amount. CONSTITUTION:The windings 3 and 4 are enclosed at the upper and lower parts in a slot 2 which is provided in a stator core 1. The windings 3 and 4 are rigidly fixed by a wedge 5 so that the windings are not moved by mechanical and electrical vibrations. The windings are constructed by overlapping a mica 7, a kraft paper 8, and a mica 9 sequentially on the outside of a copper wire 6. The abrasion of the insulator is caused between the kraft paper 8 and the micas 7 and 9 on both sides. Then, a film 10 is placed under the winding 3 as shown in the Figure, the soft X-ray is transmitted, the photograph is taken, and a waveform is obtained. If the contacting part between the kraft paper and the micas is abraded by the secular change, a gap is formed, and the transmissive amount of the X-ray becomes large. Therefore the degree of the deterioration can be detected by the transmissive amount.
