Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the poor conditioning, e.g. checked rice, of polished rice and obtain a conditioned rice of good quality, by keeping a gas in contact with the polished rice at a given temperature difference according to the temperature of the polished rice, and keeping the temperature after the polished rice reaches a specific temperature.
CONSTITUTION: In a conditioning step of polished rice by bringing a gas into contact with the rice, the temperature difference between the polished rice and the supply conditioning air is kept in a given range, preferably 2W3°C, and the supply air temperature of the conditioning air is made to follow the temperature of the polished rice to keep the temperature difference. When the temperature of the polished rice reaches 20W25°C most convenient for keeping the quality thereof, the feedback of the temperature of the polished rice to the air supply temperature is stopped to keep the supply air at the temperature thereafter.
