Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a signal generating circuit by digitizing the circuit by making the chroma signal of a digital color signal composed of a repetitive array of chroma levels at sampling points at constant intervals when a color video signal is sampled. CONSTITUTION:A chroma control signal from variable resistor VR1 for chroma control is converted by A/D converter (a) into a digital signal, and converter (a) selects a chroma signal and inputs respective bits to ROMs (b), (c) and (d). In ROMs (b), (c) and (d), chroma levels of the chroma signal arrayed in the order of hues are stored by sample hues, and according to the address of converter (a), the chroma level is outputted. The clock of a chrominance subcarrier from clock input terminal (e) is counted by counter (f) to discriminate a sampling point, and a change-over control signal is applied to switch (g) to apply chroma levels from ROMs (b), (c) and (d) to synthesizer (i). Then, a luminance signal digitized by A/D converter (h) and the chroma signal are mixed by synthesizier (i) and processed by blanking gate circuit (j) before being outputted.
