Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable accurate airflow control according to water quality and sludge by calculating the breathing rate reduction constant and finding the transition point between the endogenous breathing area and matrix reduction area from the change of the above, and controlling to bring the transition point to a specified position.
CONSTITUTION: Air is sent from an air blower 9 through valves 10W14 to air dispersing plates 4W6 installed at the bottom of an aeration tank 2. Out of the above, valves 10W12 of the air dispersing plate 4W6 are driven by motors M1WM3 which are controlled by a calculation control unit 16 through a power amplifier 15. The calculation control unit 16, after making prescribed calculation from the data given by an MISS meter 17, a water temperature indicator 18 and DO meters DO1WDO7, determines the breathing rate reduction constant K, and using this value, calculates the transition point between the matrix reduction area and endogenous breathing area at this point of time. Then, the quantity of air spouting from the air dispersing plate 4W6 is controlled by driving the motors M1WM3 so that the value becomes the transition point setting value P.
