Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce large foam useful for a foam adsorptive floating method continuously by introducing air into the chemical soln. in a stirring tank, dispersing and diffusing the same to form foam, housing the foam in the foam housing chamber in the upper part of the stirring tank, allowing the same to stagnate there temporarily and separating the chemical soln. CONSTITUTION:Air and a chemical soln. are introduced through a diffuser 4 into a stirring tank 5 from the bottom. The air is dispersed and diffused into the chemical soln. by rotating turbine vanes 6, whereby foam is formed. The foam builds up on the liquid soln. surface 8, ascends in the tank 5, goes beyond an inside annular shelf plate 9, enters a foam housing chamber 10, passes through the plural holes 12 of an outside annular shelf plate part 11 and enters a liquid separating area 13. While the foam is descending in the area 13 it results in that it is stagnated temporarily, and the excess chemical soln. is removed by gravity. The removed chemical soln. is recycled and the foam is removed to the outside of the device through a foam outlet means 15.
