Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the space in a rectifying tower to be effectively utilized by dividing the cross section of a concentrical columnar body to radially to plural pieces in the longitudinal direction and aggregating single units of fan-shaped cylindrical bodies thereby forming a columnar body.
CONSTITUTION: The gas ascending in a lower tower 1 passes an inside pipe 123, is distributed to a top header 121a etc. through pipes 123a etc., and flows downward over the entire area of a flow passage 110 through the distributing flow passage 111 of a flow passage member 109. During this time, it is cooled by the liquid of the temp. lower than that flowing in the passage flow member 101, and is thereby condensed and liquefied. The liquid goes to the header 122a etc.of the under surface, and is flowed down by the header 122a etc. from an outside pipe 125 into a lower tower 7 through pipes 126a etc. On the other hand, the liquid supplied from the upper tower 3 is stored in the tower 1 bottom. The liquid level rises successively until it flows from outflow and inflow port 106a etc. then through a distributing flow passage 104' and ascends in the entire part of the flow passage 103. The gas flowing in the flow passage member 109 is cooled then heated, and the eacy-to-evaporate components evaporate. The vapor ascends in the flow passage 103 and goes to outflow and inflow port 105a etc. through a distribution flow passage 104 and ascends in the upper tower 3.
