Abstract

PURPOSE: To offer a low-cost fermentation vessel provided with a gas holder which does not cause any danger of secondary environmental pollution, by renewably attaching a gas reservoir made of a lightweight soft high-molecular sheet on the upper portion of a fermented liquid reserving vessel having a strength.
CONSTITUTION: A fermentation vessel 21 for the anaerobic fermentation of organic wastes or the like is made of a strong and tough material, e.g. concrete or the like, free from liquid leakage. The vessel 21 is provided at its upper portion with a gas reservoir made of a soft high-molecular sheet 5. The peripheral end of the sheet 5 is fixed in a liquid 22 in order to avoid gas leakage from the connected part. The sheet may be replaced by a new one. The fermentation vessel having the said construction does not cause any danger of secondary enviromental pollution which might be generated by the damage of a gas reserving bag. Besides, the high-molecular sheet is not expensive.
