Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent accumulation of carbide at the intake passage near a throttle valve due to blowing-in by constituting a throttle valve so as to be closed perfectly in low-load operation and forming a low-speed fuel injection port and a low-speed air passage on the downstream of a starting valve.

CONSTITUTION: A throttle valve 16 is constituted so as to be closed perfectly in low-load operation, and on the downstream from the starting valve 27 in a starting passage 25, are formed a low-speed fuel injection port 37 which feeds the fuel for low speed operation and a low-speed air passage 39 which communicates to the air and the starting passage 25 on the downstream from the starting valve 27 is used as a low-speed mixed air passage. In low load operation, as the throttle valve 16 is nearly perfectly closed, and the pressure difference in the intake passage 6 in front and at the back of the throttle valve 16 is large, air flows into the starting passage 25 through the low-speed air passage 39, and on the other hand, air and fuel flows- into through the low-speed fuel injection port 37, and thus the mixed gas for low- speed operation is formed, which jets into the intake passage 6, and supplied for low-load operation.
