Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent displacement in a connecting position and to enable coating without damaging a nice appearance in a manner to eliminate an exposed staged part and a gap at a skirt and a periphery part, by a method wherein an ornamental plate is press-molded in the form of a given solid through the aid of a cavity and press core, and resin is injected thereinto. CONSTITUTION:In a first process, an ornamental plate, which can be fusion- welded to an injection-molded product held in a nipped condition in a mold, is press-molded in the form of a given solid through the aid of a cavity and a press core. In a second process, a press-molded product is punched by means of edges of cavities 4 and 5 to form processed plates P2 and P3, and simultaneously, molding cores 6 and 7 are clamped in a condition to grap the plates P2 and P3 in the cavities 4 and 5. In the third process, the inside of a mold formed with the cavities 4 and 5 and the molding cores 6 and 7 is filled with resin to injection-mold a product, and simultaneously, processed plates P2 and P3 in the cavities are fusion-coated to the molded product.
