Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit automatic stoppage of a hot-water valve in case of the breakage of a bellows by arranging a cold and a hot water valves in the reverse opening and closing shift on the shaft of a lever and permitting automatic temperature control due to the balance of the springs at the both ends of the shaft and the intermediate bellows.

CONSTITUTION: Hot water enters from a pipe 2, and cold water enters from a pipe 1, and the mixed hot water exits from a discharge pipe 3. On the midway, hot water is controlled by the opening and closing of a valve 16, and cold water is controlled by a valve 7, and the both valves are installed on the same shaft so as to be opened and closed in reverse shift. The shafts 17 and 18 are pushed to the center by the springs 27 and 38 at both ends, and an intermediate bellows 25 is elongated and contracted in reverse according to the temperature of the mixed hot water, and thus balance is kept, and automatic control is performed. The set temperature is set by turning a handle 35 to a scale, and the amount of hot-water is controlled by a lever 37. In case of excessive amount of hot-water, the bellows pulls-up the shaft 18, and in case of the breakage of the bellows, the spring 38 pulls-up the shaft 18, and the hot-water valve 16 is closed, and the cold-water valve 7 is opened, and thus the danger of the hot water gushing can be prevented.
