Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a beautiful image of high resolution even on plain paper and almost capable of preventing background stain, by mixing fine magnetic powder toner having a magnetic material as a core substance, with a carrier having particle diameter distribution similar to or smaller than that of the toner. CONSTITUTION:A carrier is used having a particle diameter distribution similar to or smaller than that of a magnetism sensitive toner with a magnetic powder used as a core material. The carrier is made of a magnetic material or a nonmagntic material. The magnetism sensitive toner is used as a one-component type developer, and use of said carrier permits sufficient charge to be obtained. The toner particles have high fluidity even in a state of pulverized forms, so it is unnecessary to round the edges of particles pulverized. For example, when the particle diameter of the magnetism sensitive toner is 12-13mum, the carrier particle diameter is 4-8mum, and toner concentration is 8-26%, cleanability of a photosemiconductor is enhanced, and service life of the carrier is extended.
