CONSTITUTION:Short-circuit currents outputted from photodetectors PDa and PDb are given to voltage control oscillators VCOa and VCOb through amplifiers Aa and Ab, and outputs of oscillators VCOa and VCOb are inputted to frequency dividers Diva and Divb. Timing generator TPG generates the timing for sampling, and counter CT counts the number of pulses of a short period generated correspondingly to outputs of photodetectors which are included in the time of the pulse width of long-period pulses generated correspondingly to outputs of photodetectors. Outputs of two photodetectors are compared with each other by comparator COMP, and an address of read-only memory ROM is designated by the counting value of counter CT and the output of comparator COMP, thereby obtaining light wavelength information.
