Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the performance of the product to be formed by sucking and fixing a metallic mold to the surface of a hot plate by vacuum force.
CONSTITUTION: A suitable number of suction ports 3 are opened in the surface of a hot plate 2. These ports 3 are connected to a vacuum pump 4 by way of the suction pipes 9 in the hot plate 2 and pedestal 7 and the suction holes 10 connected to said pipes 9. An annular hollow groove 11 is provided in the surface of the hot plate 2 by encircling the entire part of the ports 3, and an O-ring is fitted in the groove 11. Here, when the pump 4 is driven in the state that the mold 1 is held placed on the plate 2 by way of the O-ring, the space enclosed by the back surface of the mold 1, the O-ring and the surface of the hot plate 2 assumes strong negative pressure and the mold 1 is firmly sucked and fixed to the plate 2.
