Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to perform metallic coating which is good in quality and high in adhesion efficiency, by performing the base coating in two processes of electrostatic spray coating and air spraying coating, and then the clear coating by means of electrostatic spray coating.
CONSTITUTION: In the first process for materials to be coated, such as body of motorcar, etc., the base coat of metallic coating is made with an electrostatic spray coating machine having a rotary spraying head. Then, in the second process, the base coating is performed with an air spraying coating machine so that the coated surface is finished brightly. Then the clear coating is formed by applying the clear paint using again the electrostatic spray coating machine having the rotary spraying head. In this way, no color difference occurs and the adhesion efficiency of metallic paint is improved.
