Abstract
PURPOSE:To widen the controllable range of the loop, and to greatly improve the rolling speed, by summing up the reference speed setting signal for the rolling roll's driving motor and the loop correction signal. CONSTITUTION:The reference speed setting signal Sn for the rolling roll's driving motor of the n-th stand and the loop correction signal (en) are inputted to the limiting amplifier 1 which then sums up these two signals. The voltage value EnT corresponding to the motor's over-speed trip set point is given as the limiting point. In case of (Sn+en)<EnT, the output signal Ex of the amplifier 1 becomes Ex= (Sn+en), and the output signal Cn of the amplifier 2 becomes Cn=en. Accordingly, the signal level of the loop correction signal en<EnT is inputted to the driving motor's speed control circuit as the control level. In case of (Sn+en)>EnT, the output signal Cn becomes EnT-Sn. As a result, the rolling roll's driving motor is operated always at a lower speed than that causing the overspeed tripping stop, even if the signal level of the loop correction signal (en) is high.
