Abstract

PURPOSE: To optimize the characteristics of an air to fuel ratio by driving a needle which slides the fuel discharge outlet according to the movement of a variable choke carburetor by means of a stepping motor.
CONSTITUTION: The movement of the piston 3 in a carburetor 1 is detected by a detector 6 and the signals are input to a drive controller 100. The fuel discharge outlet 13 which communicates to the fuel inlet 11 is provided against the piston 3 and the needle 9 of the fuel measuring instrument 7 advances and recedes. The needle 9 moves by means of the stepping motor 8 which is controlled by the controller 100 according to the movement of the piston 3. Besides, the fuel pressure regulator 12 which responds to the negative pressure from its port 14 is provided on the lower side of the sheet 10 and the return fuel to the fuel tank from the return port 16 is adjusted.
