Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a bright electro-coated material of high adhesiveness, corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance by using a ruthenium electro-coating soln. of the specific compositin for black plating.
CONSTITUTION: The ruthenium electro-coating soln. is an aqueous solution containing 1W20g/l ruthenium comprising adding one or more kinds out of the groups of dicarboxylic acid and/or its salt, tricarboxylic acid and/or its salt, benzene sulfonic acid and/or its deriv., aromatic compounds including nitrogen, amino acids, and thio compounds at 0.01W10g/l rates. The electro-coating material electro-plated by this soln. is a black deposit having luster, does not generate any soot, is highly resistant to corrosion etc., permits easy controlling of the soln. and is suited for decorating and industrial uses.
