Abstract

PURPOSE: To make spinning machine inexpensive without causing the reduction in quality of filaments, by using a single goddet roller in melt spinning of a thermoplastic polymer at high speed.
CONSTITUTION: In melt spinning of a thermoplastic polymer (preferably, nylon 6 or nylon 66) at a high speed not less than 2,500m/min (preferably, not less than 3,500m/min), the single goddet roller 1 is used, and a filament is taken up after winding the filament more than one time. When the number of winding is increased, the separate roller 3 is preferably used. Thus the reduction in quality of filaments is smaller than in the conventional case where a filament is directly taken-up without using goddet rollers, and the quality is more or less reduced but the initial cost becomes low in comparison with the case where a filament is taken up after using a pair of goddet rollers.
