Abstract

PURPOSE:To wash efficiently foamed pieces contaminated by a method in which crushed foamed pieces are introduced into a cleaning tank and then gradually moved while being immersed in water by means of rotary blades arranged plurally in parallel near the surface of water. CONSTITUTION:Water is put to a given level in the cleaning tank 1 and the rotary blades 8 arranged plurally in parallel near the surface of water are turned in the direction of arrow A. And, foamed pieces 4 crushed into an appropriate coarse size are supplied from a blow duct 5 into one end of the cleaning tank 1 and then gradually moved to the adjacent rotary blade 8 by the rotary blade 8 of good water permeability while being immersed in water, whereby the contaminants and odors of the foamed pieces 4 are removed. Afterwards, the foamed pieces 4 so cleaned are sent to a drying process by a suction duct 9. Thus, the coarse foamed pieces can be washed efficiently.
