Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the warp which is produced in the case of a particularly high tensile sheet steel by making the radius of a die bending shoulder part and the clearance of a punch and a die respectively specific times the sheet thickness at the time of forming the sheet to a hat type sectional shape by using U-shaped bending dies.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of forming blank material 19 to a hat type sectional shape by opening U-shaped bending dies, the radius of the bending shoulder part of a die 16 is taken at 1W2.5 times the sheet thickness and the clearance between a punch 15 and the die 16 is set at 1.0W1.4 times the sheet thickness.
