Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the operativity and the productivity, by installing a valve stand in the rolling mill, in order to operate the rolling work by utilizing the same valve stand for rolling line and the stand shop. CONSTITUTION:The valve stand 6, for operating the cylinder of the roughing universal mill 1 for rolling the I-beam, for example, is withdrawn onto the shift frame 8 by the cylinder 7. Hereupon, the intermediate rail 9 is moved back on the cylinder 7. On the other hand, the valve stand 10 of the edging mill 2 is also similarly moved by the cylinder 7. The hydraulic source 11 of the roughing universal mill 1 and the hydraulic source 13 of the edging mill 2 are detachable from the valve stands 6, 10 respectively by the quick joints 15. Besides, the hydraulic source 14 is assigned to the stand shop. According to the present constitution, the cylinder of the rolling mill can be operated on the shift frame by connecting the valve stand with the hydraulic source.
