Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture the captioned pipe by sequentially providing an insulative layer on the external periphery of a base pipe, a water-proof adhesive layer which does not corrode the said insulative layer and increases its adhesive power when heated on the external periphery of the insulative layer and further a layer of thermal conductive resin tube on the external periphery of the water-proof adhesive layer and heating the whole assembly.
CONSTITUTION: The external side of a base pipe 1 formed with metal synthetic resin, etc. is coated with a semicylindrical body constiting of insulation material such as polyurethane foam to form an insulation layer 2. Then, on the external side of the insulation layer 2, a water-proof adhesive layer 3 of rubberized asphalt sheet, etc. which does not corrode the insulative layer 2 and which adhesive power increases under heat is formed. In addition, on the external periphery, a coating of thermocontractive tube or tape 4 of PVC or polyethylene is applied. Following this procedure, the thermocontractive tube or tape 4 is heated at e.g. 60W100°C and then is adhered to the water- proof adhesive layer 3. Through this heating, the adhesive power of the water-proof adhesive layer 3 is increased, and the thermocontractive tube or tape 4 is caused to adhere to the insulative layer more tightly, so that the bonding is strengthened.
