PURPOSE:To enable duplicate communication without increasing the line and spreading the band, by forming transmission waves each other transmitted from the both bidirectional communication lines with the same carrier and different modulation axes by 90 deg.. CONSTITUTION:The transmission data input to an input terminal 1 is modulated and added with a pilot signal, and enters a hybrid circuit 4 and is delivered to a line 5. The signal at the reception side from the line 5 enters a demodulator 8 via the hybrid circuit 4 and the demodulated reception data is fed to the output terminal through the synchronous detection by using carrier phase-shifted at a 90 deg. phase shifter 9. At the reception side, the transmission data is inputted to an input terminal 19 and enters a modulator 18, and it is modulated with the modulation carrier phase-shifted by 90 deg. for the carrier played back from the pilot signal and transmitted to the line 10 via a hybrid circuit 11. Two apparent communication lines have different modulation axes by 90 deg., and they do not give any interference, allowing independent overall duplicate communication.
