Abstract
PURPOSE:To effectively correct the shape defect of a composite wave form, by variously weighting at the detecting position for the inflection point of the flatness defect in the direction of breadth of the rolled sheet, and by arbitrarily combining two methods or more of specified three methods for correcting the shape correspondingly to above variously weighted condition. CONSTITUTION:The shape detector 1 detects the sheet of the rolled sheet steel after it passes over the final stands, this shape is operated by the arithmetic unit 2, and the shape sheet distribution mode is pictured by the monitor 3. The signal of the height lambda of the inflection point is inputted to the weighting commander 4 which then operates r=Z/W/2; the result is compared with the set point for the lateral shape defect generating position, and the weighting factors k1-k3 for the first - the third control system 5a-5c are decided. Each system controls the deflections at the center of the roll barrel by bending action of the double-chocked work roll of the final stand correspondingly to signals k1lambda-k3lambda; the roll deflection, depending on the change of the rolling load distribution of the final two or three stands and on the rolling load change of each stand, is controlled by the roll bending; and the bending load of the upstream stands is controlled. Two of said three methods are arbitrarily combined for controlling the shape defect.
