Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a copy of an unnecessary part around an image to be copied by moving a light shielding plate near an electrostatic drum, by moving a copy region display member on the screen of a microfilm reader-printer. CONSTITUTION:At the circumference of a frame of microfilm F, a retrieval mark, frame number, etc., are provided, and those image are projected on screen 10 via light sources 4 and 5, projection lens 6, and mirrors 7, 11, 8, and 9. The image of film F is projected on electrostatic drum 13 via mirror 12, and then copied. Of the image projected on screen 10, the region of an unnecessary part such as the retrieval mark is displayed through display member 20 on screen 10 by operating the operation knob and at the same time, light shielding plate 15 on rail 16 is slid near electrostatic drum 13. Thus, only the required image part is copied, saving toner.
