Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the feeding system, by setting each caustic curve of each parabolic reflector and each phase center of the primary radiator nearly on the same level and at the same time avoiding the caustic curves from being put on the same straight line. CONSTITUTION:The main reflector 1 is formed by combining the parabolic reflectors 2 and 3. The caustic curves 5 and 6 of the reflectors 2 and 3 cross with each other at a point F and are inclined to the axis Y by an angle of alpha. The primary radiator 10 of the spherical wave source is located at the point F to give an even illumination to the reflectors 2 and 3. The electric wave radiated from the radiator 10 is reflected by the reflectors 2 and 3 and then turned into a radiation beam that has the maximum direction of radiation in the direction of an angle of + or -alpha within the Y-Z plane. Thus a radiation beam is composed in the form of the sum of vectors of radiation beams as a whole.
