Abstract

PURPOSE: When a substrate is detected utilizing the luminous property of luciferin analog, an immobilized enzyme is employed, thus permitting high-sensitivity detection with simple operations.
CONSTITUTION: Enzymes immobilized on a membrane is prepared from a combination of xanthin oxidase or peroxidase and uricase or glucose oxidase using of a photocuring resin e.g. by the overall immobilization method or the like. The enzyme-immobilized membrane is placed in test tube 2 and set in dark box 3 so that it opposes through slit plate 5 to photocell 4. Then, luciferin analog and a sample to be tested are placed in the test tube 2 and enzyme reactions are effected. As the reactions progress, the luciferin analog emits light, which is detected by the photocell 4 and quantitatively recorded on the recorder.
