Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic both-side copying machine which is compact and eliminates the need for repectitive installation of an inverting mechanism by turning over a sheet having an original part copied on the 1st surface and by leading it to copying process part again for copying on the 2nd surface of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:On original tray 2 of automatic original feeder (ADF)1, sheet originals 31, 32, 33...3n having a picture only at one side are contained with picture sides up according to the page, and then fed by respective carriage rollers onto original table 4 in the order of 31, 32...; after copies are taken as many as set, they are discharged and stacked in original containing trasy 5 successively in the order. As both- side copying is started, original 31 is fed onto the transparent plate of original table 4 and after exposure and development, fed and carried sheet 431 is transferred and fixed and then carried by the 1st guide 36 to a sheet inversion part, where it is turned over and then contained in tray 26 via carriage path 46 after being guided by the guide.
