PURPOSE:To improve time interval measurement resolution without increasing a clock frequency by taking out an output at a delay point divided into a prearranged number in a period of a reference clock by plural D-type FF's connected to the delay line. CONSTITUTION:A pulse of such width as to comply with a time difference between inputs A, B into input circuits 1, 2 is generated by an exclusive OR circuit 3, opening AND gate 4 and a clock from a reference clock generation circuit 5 is counted by means of a counter 8. Thus a time interval is measured.
