Abstract
PURPOSE: To titled adhesive, having improved adhesive property to metal and PVC, slight springiness and improved operating efficiency, the prepared by dissolving a copolymer obtained by grafting a methacrylic ester monomer onto a specific urethane polymer at a specific ratio in an organic solvent.
CONSTITUTION: One or more 2W6C saturated aliphatic diols, e.g. ethylene glycol, are reacted with adipic acid to give a polyester, preferably having a molecular weight of 1,000W3,000, which is then reacted with 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate to form an urethane polymer having OH groups at the both ends (A). (B) 1W100pts.wt. methyl methacrylate alone or a methacrylic ester monomer containing the methyl methacrylate and ethyl methacrylate or/and glycidyl methacrylate is grafted onto (A) the resultant urethane polymer to afford a copolymer, which is then dissolved in an organic solvent to give the aimed adhesive.
EFFECT: A sufficient adhesive force can be obtained even with PVC containing a lubricant, e.g. polydimethylsiloxane.
