Abstract

PURPOSE:To erase an after-image of a preceding field, by delaying a stereoscopic video signal by a field period and then inverting it for piling on the next field. CONSTITUTION:The signals are sent to the display part with an inversion given to each right and left field in order to produce a stereoscopic video signal. In this case, the field signal 7 is connected to the encoder 23 and at the same time supplied to the 1-field delay circuit 20. The delay output 24 of the circuit 20 is applied to the attenuator 22 through the reverse amplifier 21. The attenuator 22 attenuates the video signal down to a size that is suited to the after-image characteristics of the phosphor of the CRT at the display part and then applies it to the encoder 23. Thus the after- image of the preceding field is erased.
