Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a plastic bottle having satisfactory thermal stability by setting a heated barison inside a metal mold at a prearranged temperature, setting an intermediate bottle obtained through thermal processing inside a special metal mold and letting it to be reinflated. CONSTITUTION:A barison heated at a proper temperature for elongation is set inside a metal mold heated above a crystallization temperature and below a melting point. Then a pressurized fluid is blown into the metal mold to form an intermediate bottle. After this process, it is held as it is for a prearranged period of time to undergo a thermal treatment. The mold is opened so that the intermediate bottle is taken out. In this case, it contracts because it is soft. Therefore, the intermediate bottle is set inside a metal mold having a slightly small cavity than the forming mold which is heated at 60-150 deg.C. Then a pressurized fluid is blown into the intermediate bottle again to allow itself to be inflated.
