Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare antibiotic C-15003 P-3 efficiently, by cultivating a bacterium capable of producing antibiotic C-15003 P-3 in a medium containing isobutyl alcohol and/or isobutyl aldehyde.
CONSTITUTION: A bacterium, e.g., Actinomycetes NoC-15003 strain (FERM- P3992), belonging to the genus Nocardia, capable of producing antibiotic C-15003 P-3 is inoculated into a medium containing isobutyl alcohol and/or isobutyl aldehyde and cultivated under aerobic conditions, to collect antibiotic C-15003 P-3 from the culture.
