Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable selective employment of valve member assembly bodies of several kinds of properties in one main body of a valve by constructing the valve member assembly bodies of the expansion valve fitted to the coolant piping and the like of a freezing cycle in such a manner that they can be fitted to and removed from the main body of the valve.
CONSTITUTION: Since the coolant piping of the freezing cycle is connected to the joint of a flow-in port for a fluid and the joint of the flow-out port thereof, the valve member assembly body A can be fitted to and removed from the main body 10 of the valve irrespective of the coolant piping. The valve member assembly body A changes the inside diameter of a throttle orifice C or the tilt of the needle part of the valve body 16, and several kinds of the bodies having different control properties are equipped with. At the time of assembling, the assembly body A is screwed into a plug body 14 and adjusted so as to fit to the position where the valve body 16 closes the throttle orifice C, while the length of a connection rod 24 is adjusted so that the tip thereof contacts with the tip of the valve body 16 under the condition of a set degree of superheating. By inserting the assembly body A into the piercing hole 13 of the main body of the valve and screwing the plug body 14 into the main body 10 of the valve, the assembly body A can be replaced without being influenced by the set degree of superheating.
