Abstract
PURPOSE:To utilize damping force by an vortex generated in an vortex chamber to the maximum and increase the damping force by forming an outlet hole opening to the vortex chamber toward the axial direction so as to contain the central axis of the vortex chamber. CONSTITUTION:When a working fluid passes through a piston valve 7A in case of the upper movement of a piston 5 or when it passes through a bottom valve 6A in case of the lower movement of the piston, the working fluid enters an vortex chamber 9A from an inlet hole 10A, an vortex is created here, pressure difference is formed before and behind the valves 6A, 7A and damping force is generated. The fluid is flowed out through an outlet hole 11A from a center section of the vortex. When the damping force is analyzed, the pressure of the working fluid in the case when a radius r location of the vortex of the vortex chamber is small is decreased as compared to the pressure of the working fluid at the inlet side, and differential pressure at both sides of a valve body is enlarged, thus increasing the damping force. In this valve, the outlet hole is formed at the center of the vortex chamber, r is made small and the damping force can be made large.
